Grandparentage testing is a DNA test done between grandparents (grandmother and/or grandfather) alongside their alleged biological grandchildren. A grandparent will share 25% of his or her genetic material with their grandchild.

There are several reasons for doing this test, most commonly grandparents suspect they might not be biologically related to their grandchild and wish to dispel or confirm their suspicions.

In some cases, individuals who might have been given up for adoption might wish to find and confirm their biological relatives by means of a grandparents DNA test.

EasyDNA offers duo grandparents testing: in this test we analyse the DNA sample of the grandmother, the grandfather and the grandchild/grandchildren. This test offers the most accurate results.

EasyDNA offers grandparents testing with only 1 grandparent but only if the grandchild’s mother is available for the test. A single grandparents test is not as accurate and EasyDNA does not offer it unless we have the mother’s DNA sample.

We offer this test starting from R3995. Your results are ready in 5-7 working days.
