Avuncular DNA testing is a DNA test carried out between an aunt an/or uncle with the DNA sample of their niece or nephew. The DNA test result will express the probability of relationship between the alleged relatives thereby providing a good indication as to whether they are biological relatives or not.

This type of case is often used when the alleged parent of the person is deceased and/or unwilling to participate in testing and a brother or sister of the alleged parent is still alive and available for testing. The sample of the mother is recommended to strengthen the results of the test but is not necessary.

Avuncular testing is priced from R3295. Your results will be sent by email between 5-7 working days from the time of DNA samples are received at the laboratory.
